The Musex: Is this your first rodeo here in Laredo, Texas?
Taime Downe (singer): It’s the first time for Faster Pussycat here, definitely.
TM: Im a photographer and I love the outfits you guys are wearing tonight. Tamie, Where did you get that beautiful hat?
Danny Nordahl (bassist): These are definitely our day clothes (laughs).
Taime: I got a little make on. I ordered the hat online; it’s a real German Airforce hat.
TM: Your band falls under the genre sleaze rock can you give a sleazy road story?
Taime: There is not just one little story; it’s all been just almost 25 years of a fuck fest. It’s just too disgusting.
TM: Well then I guess I would love to have a conversation with your dick one day (laughes).
TM: After over 20 years do you still get a little nervous?
Taime: Always, I always get some little butterflies before the show.
Danny: I get nervous when I am not playing, or when I go to Walmart.
Taime: I get nervous when I go to court.
Danny: My favorite record is 14 arrests, no convictions.
TM: After 20 years what has been your favorite show or event?
Taime: That is just so hard to say if you put over 25 years into the mix you just can’t say one. I can say Hammersmith in London , England the first time we sold that place out. Glasgow Perry Land was crazy. We’ve done a million show in Texas that were nuts. Texas was the first place that we said man this is fun. The first place we went to when we got our first tour bus was in Corpus Christi, Texas. I remember going to Dallas for the first time and saying this is nuts.. we played like two show. Every year after that we played Dallas we played two show cause it was slamming.
Danny: Every time Taime goes to Canada, he is reminded of San Antonio all the time because of the time he got arrested.
TM: Can you tell us the story?
Taime: We were playing La Semana (Santa), and they don’t do that show anymore. It was a free show doing it was when our song House of Pain was out and big. I think there was like 7,000 people there and it was like a big outdoor stage and they did not have state security all they had was saw horses. The kids kept climbing towards the front and they kept telling me to tell them to move back… and I would after every song. They kept telling to tell them to do that after every song, until finally I got tired and told them that they needed to get off their asses and do it themselves. After doing a free show, I was arrested.
Danny: Inciting a riot.
TM: Do you prefer playing to larger crowds or smaller venues?
Taime: I like playing a packed club that is a lot of fun. I mean the bigger shows are fun too cause we get to hang out with more people but that sometimes get more chaotic too. We get to do both festival and smaller clubs.
Chad Stewart (drummer): Fuck that stadium shows rule (everyone laughs).
Taime: I don’t like singing in them cause I can’t hear anything.
TM: You can’t hear yourself?
Taime: I don’t care about that, you can’t hear the guitars.
Chad: I don’t know man I’ve seen the YouTube of the arena shows of the Poison Tour. We look bad fucking ass.
Taime: Well those show were cool but only played like a half hour and the whole rest of the night is like let’s party.
Danny: We grew up in bars..you don’t start out playing arenas so it’s like coming back home. You feel normal more like a human being.
Chad: Yeah you certainly know your environment let’s put it that way.
TM: I appreciate you guys giving us this interview, is there anything you would like to add?

Chad: The one thing we do want to push is from February 26-29th we are going to be on the Monsters of Rock Cruise with Cinderella, Tesla, Black and Blue, Lynch Mob, Mr. Big, John Caraby.
TM: Are you hitting any Texas shows?
Chad: We may be doing South Texas Rock Fest, which is October 7th and 8th. We also have August 23-30th Argentina and Brazil hoping to get Paraguay.
