What a great show! A night filled with friends old and new.  Richard Barron and "The Incredible" Curly started out the night with Richard own songs, "I Got a Bruise In the Shape of a Heart", "17 Cards" and many others.  The cover theme songs were anything dealing with Ryan Adams.  Richard had Memo Castano come down from Chicago to join him for a few songs.  That team started writing together many years ago.  The Richard had Mando Saldana up next singing his acoustic set, which included one of my favorites, The Black Keys-Dan Auerbach's "The Night Comes."  What a voice on that boy!  He brought his "A" game.  A few minutes later, Jaime Martinez hits the crowd with his very own acoustic set while rocking his Gibson acoustic (asshole I love that axe).  I requested he play some U2 and some Pearl Jam which he tore up.  Even Big Bob Benavides sang a little PJ with Jaime.  Then Frankie, BoB, Cesar, and Marc got on stage and took some peoples heads off with their heavy-bluesy set.  It's been over 5 years since I've heard Cesar and Bob play live since their years with Circle Of Trust.  They sounded tight and ready to take on Laredo as an original band.  Ill have some vids up soon so you can see and hear for yourself.  Richard joined them for a few songs as they closed out the show.  The Musex.com's own Marc Moore was a teddy-beast on the drums. Killing those fills while bringing us thrills.  When night ended, it was all about catching up with great friends during these festive holidays.  See ya at their next show; it's bound to get bigger and better.  Old Number 2 was packed with many friends just like Richard planned it.  Congrats to Richard Barron-The Musex.com writer/contributor but mostly friend.
